Something looks wrong
Choose the page that matches the problem:
- An event is missing: Find a missing event
- An event shows the wrong time or day: Fix an event’s time or date
- A reminder did not arrive: A reminder did not arrive
- You cannot sign in, see “We can't reach your calendar” or “Sign in didn't finish,” or cannot accept an invitation: Get help with sign-in or access
Before you repeat an action
If a create or archive did not seem to work, look for the result first. Search for the event, check Settings → Archive, and look for an offline or error message. Repeating the action too soon can leave you with a duplicate event.
To reverse the last change, press ⌘Z.
Update the app
A normal refresh loads the current app when you are online. If Update available appears while you are working, choose Reload, even with an editor or panel open. When waits for pending changes to save on your device before reloading. Changes saved offline stay on your device and sync when you reconnect. Dismiss the message to keep working with the current version.
On a phone, pull down from the top of a page and let go once the arrow turns white to reload, or open the menu and choose Reload app. Either way, When waits for your changes to save, then installs any waiting update. In the calendar's List and Month, pulling down shows earlier days, so use the menu there.
When can't open saved data
If you see When can't open the data saved in this browser, close other When tabs and windows, then choose Try again. If it appears again, restart your browser or free up disk space on your device. Changes you made offline stay in the browser and sync once When can open them.
A change is too large to sync
Very long descriptions, notes, or repeating-event details can exceed an item's size limit. The error names the item that needs shortening. Open Sync status from ⌘K to review a rejected change. Retry sends the same saved change; use Discard if you want to replace it with a smaller edit. Your other saved items remain available.
Contact support
Choose Send feedback in the app (where to find it), or email hey@when.day. Include:
- what you did and what you expected
- the approximate time, and your device and browser
- the text of any error message
- a screenshot, with private details hidden
