Customize event types
Open Settings → Event types to change a type's defaults, create your own event type, or add period types. To change the type of one event, use the event's editor.
Each event type's row lists the reminders its new events start with, or No reminders. You can also change those from Settings → Notifications.
Edit a built-in type
Under Built-in event types, click a type's swatch to change its color in place. Choose Edit beside the type to change its theme and icon, timing behavior, and default reminders. Show as sets how its events appear on the grid: Duration, Start only, or All day. Turn on Check off to be asked whether each event of that type got done.
New events of that type use the new defaults. Existing events keep their own reminders, and an event whose theme you changed by hand keeps that theme. To return one event to its type's theme, open its Theme picker and choose Use type default.
A built-in type you have changed shows Reset, which restores its original defaults. Built-in types cannot be renamed or deleted.
Create a custom event type
Under Custom event types, choose Add event type, then set its name, appearance, behavior, and reminders. The type appears wherever you choose an event type. Click a custom type's name to rename it.
Deleting a custom type removes it from the type list. Events that used the type are not deleted.
Add a period type
Under Period types, choose Add period type, then set its name, theme, and Show as. Period types have no reminders or check-offs. Click a period type's name to rename it, its swatch to change its color, or Edit for the rest.
Deleting a period type removes it from the type list. Periods that used the type are not deleted.
