Events, periods, and calendars
An event records something on a date or at a time: a meeting, flight, birthday, bill, or deadline.
A period marks a date range, such as a trip, project, sprint, or season. It appears as a bar across those dates. Events inside the range stay in their own calendars and keep their own dates. You can add a period before or after you plan the events within it.
A calendar owns events and periods. It can also include other calendars so you see their items together. Including a calendar does not copy or move its events.
Main
Every account has a calendar named Main. It is the first calendar in the nav rail, and Calendar in the phone menu opens it. Main is private and cannot be shared, so create a separate calendar for a schedule you want other people to see.
One event, several views
An event belongs to one calendar and appears wherever that calendar is included. To move the event itself, change its calendar in the event editor. You need permission to edit both the event and the destination calendar.
An event without a date
A plan you have not scheduled yet is a draft. Drafts wait in the Inbox until you give them a time.
