Mark a day
A mark labels a date with a color and an optional name. It has no time or length, and it is not an event. Marks belong to you, so they show on every calendar you open, and people you share a calendar with do not see them.
Add a mark
- On desktop, point at a day. In Week view, a dot appears in the day's header. In Month view, it appears beside the date.
- Click the dot to open the Day mark editor.
- Optionally, type a Name of up to 60 characters.
- Choose a Color. The mark is saved once it has a color.
- Under Repeats, keep Once for a milestone, or choose Every year for an anniversary or a birthday.
- Choose Done, or click outside the editor.
Marks show in Week view, and in Month view when it shows one month. To add a mark in Week view, show fewer than 14 days.
A day can hold one mark that happens once and one that repeats every year.
Change or remove a mark
Click a mark's dot to open it, then change its name, color, or Repeats. Changes save as you make them.
To delete the mark, choose Remove mark at the top of the editor.
Marked days widget
Add the Marked days widget to the Dashboard or the sidebar to see all your marks in one list. See Choose and arrange widgets.
- Upcoming marks come first, soonest at the top, with how far away each one is: Today, Tomorrow, or in 12 days.
- Marks that have passed are under Past, with how long ago they were, such as Yesterday or 3 days ago.
- A mark that repeats every year shows Yearly and counts down to its next date, so it never moves to Past.
A mark without a name shows its date instead. Click a mark to go to its date, or choose ⋯ on its row to edit it.
