Find calendars in Discover
Discover is a gallery of public calendars, such as holidays and release dates. Open Discover and pick a topic such as Holidays or Video games, or scroll through everything. Below the topics, Featured shows a different theme each time you come back, followed by collections and every calendar grouped by topic.
Calendars you already follow have a green check on their icon.
To find a public calendar or collection by name, use Search or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), then open its preview.
Preview a calendar
Open a calendar to see its events on a month grid. Under its name, you can see how many events it would add in the next year.
- Use the arrows to look ahead up to 12 months.
- Click an event to see its details. Click +N more to list everything on a busy day.
- Up next lists the next few events by name. Click one to see its details.
- Details links to the source and shows how far ahead the dates go and how often they are updated. Click Changes to see what was recently added or corrected.
Subscribe
If the calendar has options under Show on calendar, turn off the ones you do not want. The preview, the count, and Up next update as you go. Then choose Subscribe, or press ⌘↵.
The calendar appears in the nav rail, and you can include it in your other calendars. To change what it shows later, open the calendar in Discover again.
Subscribe to a collection
A collection lists its calendars with the number of events each adds, and a green check on the ones you already have. Click a calendar to preview it alone, then use the back arrow to return. Subscribe to N calendars adds the collection as one group in the nav rail.
Unsubscribe
Open the calendar's menu in the nav rail and choose Unsubscribe. You can also open the calendar in Discover and choose More actions (⋯), then Unsubscribe. Its events leave your views. The source calendar is not changed.
When a calendar stops updating
When calendars you follow are retiring, one Calendar updates notice lists them all, grouped by the new calendars that replace them. Recommended replacements start switched on. Turn on the ones you want and select Switch calendars. A calendar whose replacements are all off keeps the old calendar. Not now closes the notice without saving a choice. On a retired calendar's detail page you can still choose replacements or Keep old calendar for that calendar alone.
Your saved topic filters carry over when you switch. The old calendar's detail page stays available, with Open old calendar for your history. Keeping the old calendar leaves your subscription and history intact; you can return to its detail page to choose replacements later.
Report a problem
Subscribed events belong to the source calendar and are read-only. If something is wrong, open the event and choose ⋯ › Report an issue. You can also open the calendar in Discover and choose More actions (⋯), then Report an issue. See Send feedback.
