Example requests
The When agent reads your message together with the calendar on screen, so “this week” and “this” need no more detail. Name a calendar or an exact date when a request reaches beyond what you can see.
Read your schedule
- “What's on Thursday?”
- “What's on my Work calendar next week?”
- “When was my last dentist appointment?”
- “Which bills are due before the end of the month?”
Find free time
- “Find me a free hour this week.”
- “Do I have time for a 45-minute call tomorrow afternoon?”
Add events and periods
- “Add lunch with Sam tomorrow at noon.”
- “Add focus time from 9 to 11 AM next Monday and Wednesday.”
- “Add a trip to Lisbon from May 3 to May 10.”
- “The credit card bill is due Oct 16. Push me 5 days before, and email me 1 day before.”
- Attach a screenshot of a hotel confirmation, then “Add this.”
Move and change
- “Move the design review to Friday at 2 PM.”
- With an event selected: “Make this 30 minutes.”
- “Move the weekly standup to 10 AM.” This moves the whole series.
Archive
- “Archive my dentist appointment on Wednesday.” One clearly named item is archived right away.
- “Archive the weekly standup.” Archiving a repeating event takes the whole series, so the agent asks first.
Look up a public date
- “When is CES 2027? Add it to my Work calendar.” The agent searches the web, tells you the dates and where it found them, and asks before adding anything.
- “Add the Formula 1 race weekends.” When a Discover calendar covers the schedule, the agent links it so you can subscribe.
Find your way around
- “Take me to next Thursday.”
- “Where do I turn on week numbers?”
See Use the When agent for what the agent can change and when it asks first.
