Search and filter
Search finds an item wherever it is. Filters hide items from the grid without changing them.
Search
Click the search button in the top bar, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows). Type part of a title. Results include events, periods, and calendars, and they are not limited to the dates on screen. Choose a result to open it or go to its date.
Search opens the command menu, which also acts on results, goes to a date, and runs commands. See Use the command menu.
Filters
Open Filters in the top bar, or press ⌥F. On a phone, tap the filter button in the bar at the bottom of the calendar.
- Hide repeating events and Hide past events are switches.
- Event types, Calendars, and Labels each open a list of what is on screen. Everything starts checked. Uncheck an item to hide it, or choose Only on a row to hide the rest of that list. Show all brings a list back.
- Labels in one group combine the way they do on the calendar: an item shows if any of its labels in each group is checked. Items without labels always show.
Filters apply to this calendar's views and its mini calendar, and last until you reload. Widgets such as Upcoming events and Today keep their own settings. Filters you have set appear next to the filter button, such as "Flights hidden" or "Only Reminders". Choose one to remove it, or Clear all under Active filters.
If something is missing
Clear the filters first. Then check that the event's calendar is included and shown in the current view. If you still cannot find the event, follow Find a missing event.
