Find a missing event

Search, clear filters, and check calendar visibility and Archive.

Find a missing event

Work through these steps in order. Most missing events turn up at the first or second step.

  1. Search for it. Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and type the title. Search covers every date. If the event appears, open it and note its calendar and date.
  2. Clear filters. Open Filters and choose Clear all under Active filters. Hide past events and Hide repeating events are easy to leave on.
  3. Check the calendar is shown. The current view shows only the open calendar and its included calendars. Open the editor and check that the event's calendar is listed with its switch on.
  4. Check Archive. Open Settings → Archive and look for the event, or for its whole calendar. Choose Restore.
  5. Check the Inbox. An event moved to the Inbox is a draft and no longer on the grid.

If an event disappears right after you create it, look for an offline or error message before you create it again. If you cannot find the event, send support its title, date, and calendar, and the text of any error.
