You've outgrown your calendar.
Most calendars are built for meetings. When is the calendar platform for your flights, hotel stays, bill payments, product launches, and everything else in your life.
Who's it for? People who need more from their calendar: frequent travelers, builders, creatives, and power users. If your calendar needs more than meetings, When is for you.
I've been a digital nomad for the past three years, changing hotels every few days and moving countries frequently. I wanted to clearly see my stay in each country at a glance, and what I had planned during it. No calendar I tried could do that very well, so I started building When. The Periods feature came first. Then I kept adding features as I needed them while traveling.
I've been a developer for over 20 years and care about software that is fast, carefully crafted, and fun to use. I've been secretly working on When for over a year now, and it's finally ready to share. It's my only focus, and I'm having a blast building it. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do.

Just type it out.
Adding an event shouldn't require filling out a form.
In When, you can type the event details naturally as a sentence. Each detected keyword is underlined and can be tweaked with a click. The fields fill in as you type, so you see exactly what you'll get before you add it.
A flight is not a meeting.
Your flight needs more than a title and a generic notes field.
In When, every event has a type, and the type decides its fields. A flight gets a clear departure and arrival layout, and a hotel gets check-in times and location information. Nine types are built in, and you can make your own.

In When
Your trip at a glance.
A two-week trip shouldn't be an all-day event stretched across your calendar.
In When, we have Periods: a named bar above your week that highlights a span of time. Every flight, hotel, and dinner inside it belongs to the period, so the whole trip is in one place.

Draw on your calendar.
Sometimes it's easier to draw than to type: a circle around a week, an arrow between two days.
On the desktop calendar, you can doodle right over the week with a pen or a highlighter. Circle a deadline, cross out a busy weekend, or sketch a plan, and it stays on those days.
An assistant that knows your schedule.
Planning your week shouldn't mean flipping between days to find a gap.
In When, the assistant reads your calendars, so it can tell you what's coming up, find time that works, and move things around for you. Send it a booking screenshot and it adds the event. Each morning it also leaves a short briefing of your day in your Inbox.
